National Practical Training Program
The National Practical Training Platform is a unified digital system designed to enhance the quality of practical training across higher education institutions in the UAE.
It connects universities with training providers in both the government and private sectors, offering UAE national students access to high-quality, reliable practical training opportunities.
The platform represents a practical implementation of the Ministerial Resolution governing practical training and its accompanying guideline, strengthening governance frameworks and ensuring that the training experience aligns with labour market requirements.

How many training opportunities can an entity post per year? |
There is no mandatory minimum number of students each company must train; rather, it is proportionate to the size of the establishment and the availability of specialized training opportunities. Leading companies in the country are expected to contribute significantly to the program by providing many training opportunities and developing local talent. |

Are there any requirements for the university student applying for the practical training opportunity? |
An Emirati enrolled in an accredited program at a higher education institution who is required to undertake practical training as part of the program requirements. |

Is it required that the training opportunity be in the same field of study? |
Yes. Training opportunities must be posted across different specializations so they align with the various fields of study of university students. Participating in this initiative also enables entities to build a pool of qualified, trained students who can be considered for employment after graduation. |

Does a university student who obtains a practical training opportunity through Nafis receive any government financial support from Nafis? |
Practical training does not include any financial support on the Nafis platform. Its purpose is that it is a requirement of the program or for graduation from the higher education institution — integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application in a real work environment, developing the student's practical skills, and preparing them to enter the labor market in their field. |

Is the trainee student required to work at the same entity after graduation? |
The student is not required to work at the same entity. Both parties (the training entity and the student) have the option of employment. |

What is the set duration for the practical training? |
According to the program requirements of the higher education institution. |

What is the difference between the current practical training program and the other training programs on the Nafis platform? |
Practical training is a requirement of the program or of graduation from the higher education institution. For the other training programs on the Nafis platform (Talent – On the job Training – Apprentice Program), please refer to each program's requirements stated on the platform. |

What if the university student is not accepted for the training opportunity — will training opportunities be withheld from them? |
Training opportunities across different specializations are offered to the student, and they must choose the training suitable for their university major. If they change it or cancel their practical training, they must consult the higher education institution. |
