What is the Nafis Award?
The Nafis Award is an annual award launched by the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council as part of the Nafis program initiatives. It aims to foster a culture of excellence among Emiratis working in the private sector and to highlight outstanding Emiratis who have achieved remarkable professional and personal achievements.

Participation Requirements
The candidate must be an Emirati citizen working in the private or banking sector.
The candidate's file must be free of any legal, behavioral, or professional violations. This must be proven by a letter of no objection from the Human Resources Manager of the company where they are employed.
The candidate must remain employed throughout the assessment period and until the results are announced.
The candidate must be registered on the Nafis platform.
The job title must match the category for which they are applying.
There are no requirements for years of experience or academic qualifications.

How to Submit a Nomination
After ensuring Nafis platform account is active, participants can log in to the electronic nomination platform using their digital ID, complete the electronic nomination form, and attach all supporting documents via the following link: https://apply.nafisaward.etcc.gov.ae/Home/Login
Evaluation and Selection Process
After screening the nominations, the top 10 candidates will be contacted via email and phone to attend a virtual interview with the assessment committee. The winners will then be selected by a jury panel.
Rewards and Recognition
The achievements of outstanding Emiratis working in the private sector will be celebrated and they will be highly honored at a prestigious event attended by UAE leaders. They will also receive media attention and will have the opportunity to gain many other benefits.
Can participants from previous cycles participate again?
Yes, individuals can participate annually as long as they meet the conditions and criteria mentioned in the award guidebook. However, first-place winners can only participate again after two consecutive cycles have passed.
How do I choose the right category for nomination?
Individuals must first determine their current field of work and highlight their achievements within that field. Based on this information, they can decide on the appropriate category. For example, if you are a consultant doctor working also with the leadership team of a private hospital, you may wonder whether you should apply for the medical professions or leadership professions category. The answer depends on your actual achievements and experiences. You can determine the right category when you are confident which of the two fields (leadership or medicine) best aligns with your current skills and achievements.
Is company approval required before nominating?
A letter of no objection from the company is requested as one of the requirements for the nomination form. This is only to ensure that the candidate's file is free of any violations or misconduct within their workplace. The participation of Emiratis in the award enhances the company's reputation and demonstrates its support for Emiratization and the development of national talent.
Are there fees to participate?
There are no fees to be nominated for the Nafis Award.
How are the winners announced?
The results are announced at an official ceremony attended by UAE leaders, and the winners are honored with certificates of appreciation and award trophies.
Can the Emirati be nominated for more than one category?
The self-nomination system will not allow you to choose more than one category during a single cycle
