Child Allowance Scheme
Brief Description
The child allowance aims to support Emirati employees by providing them with a child allowance for up to four children. The amount of the allowance demonstrated in the following table.

Eligibility Criteria
- Based on the approved general conditions, Emirati citizens can benefit from the Nafis program advantages as outlined in the FAQs on the website.
- Must be employed in the private sector governed by MOHRE, or the banking, financial, and insurance sector, governed by CBUAE.
- The allowance covers a maximum of four children.
- The allowance is paid for sons (males) until they reach the age of maturity or join the workforce.
- The allowance is paid for daughters (females) until their marriage date or joining the workforce.
- Salary must be less than 50,000 dirhams per month.
- The beneficiary must not receive a salary or retirement pension from any federal or local entity, except in cases where the retirement pension has been inherited from a deceased heir.
- Employee wages must be paid through the Wage Protection System (WPS) or any other system approved by the relevant authority in the country.
- The Emirati citizen must have an active account with the Abu Dhabi Pension Fund or the General Pension and Social Security Authority.
- Monthly contributions for the insured must have been paid for the last two months.
- Must not own shares in the establishment where they work.
- No duplication in receiving children's allowance.
- Female citizens are granted the children's allowance (taking into consideration the above conditions) in the following cases:
- If the husband is deceased.
- If she is supporting her children and the support is proven by a court order, along with evidence that the husband is unable to earn or is unemployed. The inability to earn must be proven by an official medical authority decision, and the husband's unemployment in the public or private sector must be proven by a declaration from the wife under penalty of liability.
- Not benefiting from the Nafis Healthcare Program.
