The Career Counselling Program helps UAE nationals improve their skills and capabilities by providing both individual or group counselling as well as career assessment services with professional career counsellors. The application also enables participants to explore a variety of guidance and awareness offerings as well as other services to identify their capabilities, skillset, and professional interests in order to determine the most suited occupations available in the job market.

Enhancing the readiness of job seekers and equipping them with the right tools to apply for jobs in private sector institutions, while promoting a professional culture that supports effective career planning.

 

New Employees:
Promoting the concept of continuous learning and development among Emirati employees in the private sector, while fostering a culture of private sector work and supporting the integration of Emiratis into the workplace environment.

Private Sector Employees:
Ensuring the continuity and sustainability of national human resources in the labor market through a career mentorship plan that helps them overcome challenges and supports their stability and well-being in the workplace.

Raising awareness among private sector companies to create an attractive and motivating work environment for national talent, promote best practices for attracting Emirati professionals, and highlight the importance of defining clear career development paths for national talent.

Career Counselling for Job Seekers :

Objectives:

  • Raise awareness about labor market requirements and equip individuals with the necessary tools to apply for jobs in private sector institutions.
  • Motivate and empower them to join the workforce by highlighting the benefits of working in the private sector.

  • Help individuals identify their personal strengths and career interests to choose the most suitable profession.

  • Promote a professional culture that supports effective career planning for a sustainable professional future.

The Job Seeker's Journey:

  1. Register on the Nafis platform.

  2. Be classified based on the target categories and assessment results.

  3. Apply for a career interest assessment according to the target category.

  4. Book a career guidance session on an available and convenient date.

  5. Receive booking confirmation via email, including the session link (note that the session is recorded).

  6. The career mentor develops a guidance plan and may refer the job seeker to the “Kafa’at” or “Experience” program as needed.

  7. Document the outcomes of the guidance session directly on the Nafis platform and monitor the individual development plan for the candidate.

  8. Attend follow-up sessions with the career mentor after three months.

  9. Track the candidate’s employment status and provide the necessary support.
